Full Description

Details

The 3DGence ONE 3D printer gives you the freedom to materialise your projects and ideas. It uses FDM technology and works with most of the filaments available on the market. The printer has multiple patented solutions, like the quick hotend exchange PUSH system, autocalibration and autocompensation. 3DGence ONE’s unique construction guarantees a perfect printing stability and top printout quality. 3DGence ONE is ideal for prototyping, low volume manufacturing, producing molds and models.

Exchangeable hotends

3DGence ONE is equipped with a patented hotend, together with its quick replacement “PUSH” module. It allows for a quick hotend exchange, making it really easy to swap a printing filament or to change a nozzle.

Autocalibration

3DGence ONE examines its heatbed in 500 different spots using the nozzle tip. This process called autocalibration detects any possible surface irregularities. Then, it uses the gathered data to perform an autocompensation, which guarantees the same nozzle-to-table distance, at all points of the print.

Ceramic heatbed

The ceramic heatbed used in 3DGence ONE, makes printouts stick to it without the need for additional solution. The printouts are easy to remove and their bottom surface has a natural-looking texture.

Dedicated electronics

3DGence Titanium has 2 levels of thermal protection of the hotend and 3 levels of thermal protection of the heatbed. Electronics is additionally equipped with circuit and overload protection.

Ask a Question

  • What does a 3D printer do?

A 3D printer produces physical objects from images that have typically been created on CAD software. This is achieved by laying down a thin layer of material (known as a filament) onto a bed. Further layers are printed over the initial layer progressively building up the final object. This is know as FFF/FDM – Fused Filament Fabrication or Fused Deposition Modeling©. The filament cools on contact and bonds together to create a strong, hard finished object.

  • What are the different print materials for 3D printing?

In 3D Printing terms, the print material ( or ink) is know as Filament or Resin. Different Filament types and Resin have different uses, capabilities and properties.

The most common type of Filament used by Schools is PLA (Polylactic Acid). PLA is manufactured from plant extracts and is widely adopted due to its non toxic/biodegradable properties.

ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) is another commonly used filament that offers strong physical strength. It is used predominantly for rapid prototyping applications and is non-biodegradable.

  • What are the running costs for 3D printing?

The main running costs are linked to the print material (i.e. filament) being used. A solid, filled matchbox sized object will cost approximately 30p to produce.

On average, a typical filament spool can produce between 200 and 250 matchbox sized objects.

In terms of electricity costs - a 4 hour print job will consume approximately the same amount of electricity as boiling a kettle once.

  • What type of 3D printer do I need?

For simplicity 3D printers can broadly be divided into the following categories:

Beginner - These entry level printer models are inexpensive, feature light units aimed at users who are new to 3D printing and curiosity users with some models specifically designed for children. Easy to setup, specifications and object print sizes on entry level models will generally be limited in line with their low prices.

Intermediate - Aimed at existing users, hobbyists, creative individuals, education and small to medium businesses. A step up from the entry level models, these printers remain affordable and offer good resolutions, specifications and performance for a modest price.

Experienced - Models in this category are designed for users requiring a premium quality printed product. Designers, higher education, research institutes and dentistry are typical examples of organisations who would require a 3D printer in this category. Despite being amied at the more experienced users, most models in this category remain simple and easy to set up straight out of the box.

Professional - Designed for users requiring rapid prototyping and finished product design quality objects. Professional 3D printers boast the highest resolutions and most expansive feature sets on the market at a premium price. They support printing on a wider range of filaments including PEEK (high temperature material) and many models have dual extruder heads for more complex print applications such as dual colour or dual material print jobs.

  • What are the key considerations for buying a 3D printer?

3D printing is becoming increasingly prevalent with small businesses, education and home users. Knowing which 3D printer is best suited to your needs can be tricky though with multiple factors to weigh up ahead of purchase. Answering the following questions before giving us a ring is a good place to start.

What do you want to print? How big are the objects to be printed and what material(s) do you want to use?

Do you need to print in multiple materials and/or colours?

What level of quality will be acceptable in your finished product?

How will the finished products be used?

How do you want to connect to the printer for printing?

What operating system does your 3D printing software need to work on?

Are we out on price?

We check our prices daily against a wide range of competitors to try to bring you the best deal. However, if you've spotted a better price offered by one of our competitors, please let us know and we'll do our very best to match it.

Is the advertised price & availability genuine?

The IT sector is littered with companies who don't hold stock. Their websites advertise products that are sourced from third party suppliers. Pricing and availability data on such sites is typically retrieved from files or feeds which are often not refreshed regularly enough. The result? Cancelled orders, long lead times and disgruntled customers.

King of Servers is a major stockholder with full transparency into our stockholding and pricing. Our website is refreshed on a 15-minute cycle 24/7 so the pricing and availability you see online is both accurate and reliable.

We recommend you double check a cheaper price elsewhere is accurate and based on physical stock that can be shipped immediately before placing your order.

Do they really have the product in stock?

We show true stock counts on our website, not woolly messages like ‘in stock' or ‘available to order'. Stock levels are updated every 15 minutes 24/7 so you can see exactly how many units we have sat in our warehouse available for immediate despatch.

And speaking of shipping, did you know we offer same day deliveries? You can choose this or other timed services during checkout on our website or contact our sales team for a quote. Handy when you need the goods in a hurry!

Do they specify product condition?

Most web stores fail to specify the stock condition of the products they advertise for sale. It seems reasonable to assume that all products are brand new, unused units supplied in the sealed, original manufacturer packaging and protected by the full warranty but this isn't always the case.

A heavily discounted price can be a sign that the product in question may be a used or refurbished unit. Open/damaged box and ‘ex demo' units are also rife in the marketplace and warranty cover on such goods will be variable so it's wise to check what you're getting before committing to any purchase.

King of Servers displays the product condition on all our product pages. As well as detailing what the condition means, we specify the level of warranty condition allowing you to make an informed buying decision.

Ensure you compare like for like when shopping around for prices online.

Is the product covered by warranty?

All brand new products come with a full manufacturer warranty, right? Not always; it depends where the products were sourced from. You may have heard of the grey market or parallel imports? Manufacturers often stipulate the geographical regions in which their products are designated for sale. Unscrupulous suppliers seek to source goods from outside of these regions at cheaper costs which they pass on via cheaper prices. The downside is that the manufacturer might not honour the warranty in the event of a support call. Grey kit does not qualify for warranty support and if it fails, you could be significantly out of pocket.

All products offered for sale at King of Servers are sourced from legitimate channels and are covered by warranty. For added peace of mind, we can supply serial numbers up front which can be validated on the manufacturer's website to ensure warranty cover is in place prior to purchase.

Ask any potential supplier if they can supply serial numbers ahead of purchase. Any legitimate stockholder who has sourced the goods from the proper channels should be able and happy to do so.

Is the competitor trustworthy?

Look beyond the price and establish whether the company behind the product is a bona fide organisation that you can return to should you encounter issues down the line. This is particularly important if you've never heard of them before. It's relatively easy to set up a web shop nowadays which makes it difficult to differentiate between a one-man band operating out of a home office and a well-established, reputable bricks and mortar business. Sales T&Cs, returns policy and aftercare service are probably important areas for you to consider.
